Type 1 diabetes in children

Kids, am I right?!? Having a child with diabetes is no easy gig, but there are people out there who can help.

I’m no experts in diabetic children, and wouldn’t want to give you a bum steer. I can’t give your kids advice on drinking or pumping iron, for example, and managing a condition in someone who wants to paint walls and run around is an area I know little about.

Instead, we’d highly recommend Diabetes UK’s site. It’s full of useful information and offers great support. You can check it out here.

What we can do is help get you clued up. If you know what you’re talking about, they’ll know what they’re talking about, and neither of you will have anything to fear.

A diabetes-savvy parent will make for a diabetes-savvy child.
